Morphe brush club- May 2017

Morphe's month brush club for May brushes are a part of their gun metal line so their handles are just so sleek and lightweight. They are all synthetic bristles so that means they are awesome for liquids or cream products since the fibers won't hold on to any of your makeup. They can be especially great for foundation and concealers because of the precise application and you'll actually use less product since the fibers don't trap any product they way natural bristles do.
G1- is a small dense buffer brush that is great for a streak-free foundation application. I personally use the G36 as a foundation applicator because it has a wider surface so I find this brush a bit on the smaller side.  With that being said, I'll end up using this a contour blender since it does also have a rounded head or as a SPF applier.
G38- is a small round contour brush that is great for smoothing out cream products. I mostly use it for blending out my creak highlighters, to buff out my primers or bases before starting a look, or to blend out the under part of my eyes with cream concealer.
G41- okay, I was so stoked to receive this brush because it's a small flat contour brush. I already own the G30 which is the same thing but in a bigger size- which is great for face contouring but not the same story for my nose as it was too big. The flat edge is great for carving out facial features with precision. For people with a slightly bigger nose: this is a great tool to elongate the nose and make it look more narrow.
G40- is a longer fluffier brush than the rest. It's great for packing on under eye powder and highlighter. Remember how I said that the synthetic brushes don't hold product, well that's what you want when applying these kinds of products. Also a great applicator for blush too.
G19- is a very small and precise blending contour brush. It's really awesome for smoking out the lower lash line, applying inner corner highlight or even as a lipstick brush! So many uses!

Ipsy Bag May 2017

Late post because my Ipsy bag came superrrrr late- literally yesterday but I won't complain too much because I really got some awesome products this month.

I do love when Ipsy sends larger bags and this see through plastic with a summery-treat feel was a cute little addition to my makeup bag collection, I love when the send different materials of bags- like this one seems splash proof for the pool side.
I got a great HEMPZ body moisturizer that is super light weight with a very natural and subtle pomegranate smell. I personally use a lot of Hempz products because they do use herbal extracts and you all know how I'm a super hippie.
The Luxie 660 brush is a great multitasker brush because it can be used for anything from foundation, contour and highlighter It's super light-weight to give it that air-brush feel. Great for the next product that I'm talking about.
The Manna Kadar cosmetics highlighter and bronzer duo is a great little partnered compact for on-the-go touch ups. The velvety texture gives the application an easy way out because it makes the actual highlighting and glow while being super natural about it. Blends into the skin super easy.
I normally don't do creamy lipstick simply because I'm partial to liquid lippies but this Mellow cosmetics creamy lipstick has such a great skin calming effects, it's a great treat and break from the ever so drying liquid lippies. I received it in the color Posh which is a great mauve creamy pink.
In my last video, I used this Opal Over Coat eyeliner from Pixi by Petra and it's a very creamy subtle shimmery nude-pink liner. I do love colors like these for accents to my brown eyes.

Ii Cosmetics Mini Haul

Again, here I go again with another indie cosmetic shop but I absolutely love the quality and the hard work that comes from these brands. I received my order from Ili cosmetics which is another company from Etsy but it was a very small order in since I just needed more glitter in my life.
c-yellow, water lilies
hex girl, forever fall

I originally only bought hex girl, forever fall and c- yellow but Ili cosmetics was kind enough to send water lilies as a sample.
Hex girl is an amazing grungy feel to it with red, maroon and black theme that are cut into squares,  hex's and shards. Forever fall is going to be a great compliment to brown eyes with its coppery orange and gold/ bronze squares, hex's and circles. C-yellow- which came with a sifter, is a medium yellow shimmery pigment with pink and blue sparkle in the light. Lastly, water lilies looks like a simple shimmery white but once you apply or swatch it, you get hit with pink, purple and blue shimmers- which you can see in the photo with the caps. I really can't wait to try these out soon!

Colourpop Haul

I know I don't have to introduced Colourpop to many of you reading today because it really is a well known cosmetic company because their products rock and they are super affordable! They're cruelty free and have an luxurious formula. -Did I mention affordable!? I just love CP. They are also having a promotion with free domestic shipping for their 3rd year anniversary so head over and save some $$.
Well I just wanted to share my new babies with you all because I know you'll share in the excitement with me when we get new makeup.

I really love all the ones that have the caps on them because those are the Super Shock shadows and they really come out with a bang. These colors pop while having a multidimensional shimmer to it, reflecting matching colors or different colors when catching the light. The pressed shadow I got because I wanted to find a similar color to ABH love letter. Great dupe.
Lastly that ultra matte lippie, I got to match the greens/ blues that I always throw into my hair. I love liquid lipsticks, especially with vibrant colors.

Lash Flawless Discount

I love a full face of glamour and that includes the cherry-on- top over dramatic lashes. One of my favorite brands to get some kick ass lashes is Lashflawless. Their strip brands are super comfortable, flexible and durable. I use them upward of 20+ times and they still are holding up pretty damn well. If you take care of them by cleaning and storing them correctly, they last a long time. A big reason why I use them is because they offer a more three-dimensional "natural" lash look compared to a lot of the generic plastic lashes you find at the cheaper prices- not that I'm saying those are bad because I do use the cheaper ones on a daily but for the sakes a full glamoured look, Lashflawless is the way to go. Here's a quick side photo of the lashes (rather than a birds eye view) so you can see what I mean by the full 3D look.
luxe- LF- $17
generic- amazon $1

generic- amazon $1

luxe- LF- $17

It was honestly hard to get a good photo of the generic ones to the left because they were so flat, I couldn't get the camera to focus or you could see the lashes. It's pretty obvious here how the Luxe ones are a lot more fluffier and organic compared to the doll like lashes from Amazon. The photo below really shows the contrast of dimensionality by the shadows and density.

Now for the fun part- discounts!
When checking out at Lashflawless, apply the code JENKIESZ to receive 10% off of your order! (Make sure the entire words is capitalized) I have this info, along with all my other promotional discounts at the 'affiliate' tab on my blog or website.

Mazzie Cosmetics Haul

I absolutely love supporting small shops and I came across Mazzie Cosmetics on etsy.com as they were just on my recommended list because I do shop for indie beauty companies quite frequently on there. Once I came across one of their loose shadows, I thought "There is no way there colors can be that pigmented." I mean for the price of their shadows- $6 for 10g- why not try it out? I did use the code CLAIRE25 for a discount and the last time I checked, it was still active.
Here is what I got:
Matte orange, Deadly, Fangs of love, Serum, Hottie, Lethal, Batz
Pearl, Mattie Aqua

Room lighting
Natural sunlight

okay, remember how I said that I didn't think that their colors could be that pigment- well I was fucking wrong on that. These loose shadows are pigmented as hell and are literally the easiest products to build up and blend. Of course loose shadows can be tricky to work with but if you know how to work with it, the colors come out superrrrr saturated. This brand has me honestly shook.
I did receive the two little baggies as samples which was a pleasant surprise and I will be transferring them to little makeup containers soon.
I will be purchasing even more products very soon because I literally can not live without the entire collection.
Here are the recent looks that I've done using Mazzie Cosmetics:

simple look only using two shadows:
@mazziecosmetics Serum and Hottie. to make the liner, I added @maccosmetics fix + spray to the loose shadows. mascara is also @maccosmetics with the Lash Zoom and the lashes are @ardell_lashes Double Wispies. brows: @nyxcosmetics pomade in Espresso..

Moving, new job, and updated looks.

I'm completely lame and I haven't updated the blog in a little over a month but I'm so excited to share that my hard work is paying off and it will lead to me being able to produce more content for you all!
I recently got a new job that is a lot less stressful and easier on my physical being, which is super important for me since I do have chronic illnesses. Now that my health has been more positive, being able to function and work more hours will help me purchase more supplies and products to be able to make more creative pieces. I am also moving to a bigger home in the next month so I will be able to have a bigger and better set up than what I currently have. This will allow me to make better tutorials for you rather than just my time lapses and live videos.
I do have some new makeup to show you all that I never posted but remember that you can always keep up with my latest looks at my Instagram: @jenkiesz
or check out my complete portfolio at my wixsite here.
Thank you all for your support
